What is a Montage?

There are different types of montages available through Powell Productions. A montage is a beautifully orchestrated story created with video clips and/ or photos. Many associate montages with slide shows accompanied by music. With the Gold Package you will receive a wedding highlights montage. With the Platinum Package you may select any one of the montages below. If you would like another montage in addition to the montage included in the Gold Package or Platinum Package, then each additional montage costs $400. In addition to video footage, montages may also include your personal photographs if you choose.

Wedding Summary Montage

The "Wedding Summary Montage" contains a series of "best of clips" of your wedding events and highlights. This montage comes with the Gold Package. The bride and groom are given a checklist to record which wedding events they would like Powell Productions to film so nothing important to the couple is left out. The couple can also request video footage of events at their wedding location that are not included on the checklist.

A Love Story Montage

The "Love Story Montage" includes individual interviews of the bride and groom. A series of questions are asked about each person and then featured within different segments of the montage. This montage includes up to three hours of video footage on a day separate from your wedding day. Video footage is taken of the couple together in the setting of their choice within the counties that Powell Productions serves.

Through the Years Montage

The "Through the Years Montage" is comprised of photographs of the bride and groom growing up. This montage can also include current video footage of the bride and groom together in a setting of their choice within the counties that Powell Productions serves.

Your Choice Montage

The "Your Choice Montage" puts your ideas for a montage into practice. While Powell Productions is open to your ideas for creativity and personalization of the montages listed above, if there is a topic we have not covered that you would like filmed for your montage, then we are dedicated to making your preferences possible.

Length and Photos:

A DVD montage involves about 3 hours of video footage, may include between 30 - 200 of your photos if you choose to include them, and after editing turns out to be about 10-20 minutes long.

* 40 - 60 photos produce about 4 to 6 minutes of your montage video production.

* 60 - 80 photos produce about 6 to 8 minutes of your montage video production.

Each wedding photo or video clip will appear for between 4-6 seconds depending on the music you choose to use and the transitions between your photos and video clips. (Your photos will be returned to you with your order). However, many people choose to scan their pictures themselves onto a CD for us to use, because it saves time and ensures their safety. We would prefer that photos are given to us on a CD for these reasons. Please be sure to scan your pictures on a high quality scanner at a high resolution as .jpeg/.jpg files. Many retail stores provide scanning services.

Turnaround:

Our turnaround typically takes 3-4 weeks to finish each montage from the date we receive your pictures and take your video footage.
